It has been on the mouths of many, so we feel it is time we share important information about the new business system, PACE, designed by the NDIA specifically for the NDIS. PACE is based on Salesforce CRM, ensuring a more user-centric experience for participants and providers alike.
Here's what we think you need to know about PACE:
Tassie Test & Nationwide Rollout:
PACE is currently being tested in Tasmania. Feedback from this trial will shape the nationwide rollout, which is anticipated to start very very soon. In fact, word out yesterday says it will begin in October 2023!! Time to get ourselves ready!
Participant-Endorsed Providers:
Meet the concept of 'participant-endorsed providers.' These providers, endorsed by participants, will experience faster payments. Endorsements apply to general support and specific categories like SDA and Behaviour Supports.
Streamlined Support Categories:
PACE redefines support categories, introducing a 'recurring' type for services such as transport. The transition from 'support purpose' to 'support type' enhances flexibility.
User-Friendly Portals:
Expect user-friendly portals for participants and providers. Participants can access the 'my NDIS portal' directly from the NDIS website, bypassing the often frustrating MyGov website.
Funding Intervals:
Funding will be released in stages, a response to feedback from participants with longer plans. Flexibility remains, allowing participants to access future funding as needed.
Goodbye Service Bookings:
Bid farewell to service bookings, as PACE eliminates this step, providing participants with more flexibility and reducing administrative hassle.
Enhanced Plan Access:
Providers with consent can efficiently access participants' plans, enabling tailored and responsive support.
Support Coordinators and Psychosocial Recovery Coaches:
During the testing phase, these roles will experience significant PACE impacts:
Embrace the Change:
Get ready for an NDIS transformation that will reshape the way we operate. PACE is on the horizon, bringing enhanced efficiency and user-centric experiences. Be part of this evolution, contributing to the betterment of NDIS participants' lives.
