We’re thrilled to dive into the intriguing world of Autism and its connection to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). 

Let's wade through the waters of information and answer some burning questions! 

First up, who can diagnose Autism? Think of it as a brilliant team performance – a symphony of specialists! Child psychologists, paediatricians, and other experts come together like maestros, carefully observing and analysing behavioural patterns to compose the perfect diagnosis tune. 

Now, let's talk about the unique colours Autism paints on the canvas of life. Just like an abstract masterpiece, Autism differs for everyone, creating a vibrant and diverse human gallery. Each individual is like a one-of-a-kind puzzle piece that fits perfectly into the mosaic of humanity. 

As at 31st March 2023, a whopping 35% of NDIS participants (207,385 of 592,059) were diagnosed with Autism. This incredible statistic showcases the significance of Autism within the NDIS community and highlights the need for tailored support. 

While the NDIS is like a treasure trove of support, it's important to note that not all Autism participants receive an NDIS Plan. Eligibility and individual needs play a key role in determining who gets to join this wonderful support community. 

To sum it up, Autism is a beautiful spectrum of human uniqueness, and the NDIS shines as a beacon of hope and assistance for those who qualify. Let's celebrate our differences and embrace the harmony they create in our world!
