Talking Change Again!
Welcome to the eighth issue of The Apoio Pulse. Just to change it up, we are popping in a day earlier, so you can get your Pulse fix before the long weekend! We know this is the highlight of your week! Haha ;)
Change! It is everywhere and we raised the topic about this last week! The feedback and conversations we have had have been interesting to say the least! Some businesses are ready for it and some are scared and unprepared.
Adapting to change in the NDIS landscape requires resilience and forward planning. We learned a lot of valuable tips on how to do just that at a recent NDIS Business Conference and thought you might be interested in hearing about them too.
One of the best ways to prepare for change is to increase your culture and look after your front-line employees. They are the ones who are most affected by any changes that may come their way, so it's important to support them. Another helpful tip is to implement technology to assist in business processes that you find frustrating or time consuming. Doing so can save you time and energy that could be better spent elsewhere.
We also learned that it's important to focus on quality, not quantity. This means that you should be striving to deliver the best possible service to your clients, rather than simply trying to tick as many boxes as possible. Understanding your business's shortcomings in detail is another important aspect to consider, as it can help you identify areas for improvement.
Lastly, be open to asking "why" for everything. Getting a better understanding of your business operations is crucial for long-term success. Why are the employees not showing up for shifts? Why does this task take forever? Why did that client leave us? Understanding your why’s will help safeguard your business’s future!
That's it for this week's edition of Apoio Pulse. We hope you found these insights helpful! As always, feel free to reach out if you have any questions or want to chat further. We are more than happy to support our community and provide assistance with answering these questions! After all, a supported and prepared NDIS Provider can only mean better support for the NDIS Participants!
