Guess what…. It’s Friday!
Where has this week gone??? Maybe we are still stuck down the rabbit hole reminiscing about our long weekend too much, but this week has certainly flown by… it is now Friday AND time to check in with some exciting and knowledgeable NDIS insight!
A hot topic for us this week has been the difference between NDIS and the NDIA. Much to the confusion of many within the industry, these are 2 separate organisations!
The NDIS is the National Disability Insurance Scheme and is back by the Safeguards and Complaints Commission. The scheme is what the participants register to be part of.
The NDIA is the National Disability Insurance Agency and they are in charge of the scheme that provides participants plans. This agency manages and monitors the payment fraud and compliance with plan usage.
As an Intermediary for the NDIS, we have had the pleasure of speaking to both organisations this week to bring better service to our participants and their providers.
It has been a great reminder that we would like to extend to you that the NDIS industry has rules and regulations that do change from time to time. If you are a provider providing services to NDIS participants, please please please, do your due diligence!
